Meet Myrtle – Our latest addition to the Farm
Farm Manager Dennis found her yesterday in one of the blocks that are getting ready to have the lemon myrtle trees planted. He rescued her from drowning after they flooded the place for some reason.

She is a female and possible pregnant… what joy for the kids!
“Isn’t she cute! Can we keep her?!”
We’ve been given 2 duckling some months ago and they started off small and cute – swimming in the pond. All of a sudden they are big and eating 3 x times as much as the chicken and making the most incredible mess. That’s were cute can get you. Luckily when our neighbour heard I was pondering to outsource (kill) them, she offered to have them back. That was easy! One big job less on my list! And we can now use the left over millet that we collected for the ducks from the summer cover crop (to improve soil quality for the lemon myrtle trees) for the mouse family.
